Oh, the magic of a postpartum doula! A postpartum doula helps to support both birthing parent and baby. We help support and encourage gentle transitions, rituals, and new learning curves as a family.
In the first weeks after birth, your body will be changing, your relationships will be shifting, and your baby will be brand new. There’s so much to manage and process, but you don’t have any experience with a baby or being a parent (or you do... and you wisely know you need some support!).
As your postpartum doula, I come to your home and help you get a handle on new parenthood. Because the reality is, it can be hard being a brand new parent with a brand new baby.
My role as your postpartum doula? Listen, help, soothe, show, educate, & do.

My postpartum doula practice is an extension of my life.
I’ve learned from years of observing others work, and from deeply listening to my clients.
My life experience and training, my ancestors, and all the midwives, teachers, and healers who have influenced me have cultivated my global lens of birth.
I’ve worked professionally with families as a nanny, preschool teacher, and outdoor educator, and have trained formally with ICEA, Birthing From Within, Spinning Babies, and in Mexico and India with traditional healers.
I bring to you my expertise in childbirth education, postpartum support, breastfeeding education, early childhood education, ancestral and traditional medicinal practices, yoga, and nutrition. My doula practice is an extension of how I live.

"She will truly make you feel held in all of the ways. During labor she said "Keep breathing. Any breath is good". When I felt like the pain was too much to bear, these words saved me. As sweet as Sherry can be, she will also be firm when needed and keeps her energy 100% infused with grace."
"Having Sherry present at the birth of our son was an invaluable, one-of-a-kind experience. In addition to her knowledge and skills, she was a kind and firm advocate for mama in the hospital during labor and delivery. Her positivity and enthusiasm are infectious and put us at ease on the day as well as during the in-home sessions leading up to the birth. Sherry came in with great ideas but was also flexible and respectful of our wishes. She’s a strong coach wrapped in a gentle spirit."
"Over the course of my pregnancy and after the birth, it was like she had become a part of our family. Her prenatal appointments are so wonderful and helpful for bonding between partners and preparing us with techniques. The postnatal appointment was so helpful too, to recount each of our stories, process the birth, check-in on self-care, and for everything to come full circle."
"Sherry's home visits helped us build a solid relationship based on trust, respect, and friendship. We talked about our birth plan, concerns, as well as breathing exercises and movements. Sherry made me feel comfortable to talk about my fears, ask stupid questions, and reflect on my feelings and emotions. This was exactly what I needed to help me feel better prepared."
